Scheduling Coordinator
315 Martin Luther King Jr. Way, Tacoma WA


An Oncology Clinic in Tacoma is seeking a Scheduling Coordinator to join their team.

Overview of Responsibilities:
● Medical receptionist duties such as checking patients for clinical and in-person
appointments
● Checking patients out after visits, and assisting with scheduling additional
appointments
● Majority of scheduled appointments are facilitated through in-person communication,
but there will also be instances of scheduling over the phone
● Scheduling patients for chemotherapy sessions, infusion sessions as well as office
visits with their provider, utilizing EPIC to complete these tasks
● Transition into scheduling for imaging, court placements, scans, admit to hospital for
procedures
● Helping manage the clinic in basket - passing along messages to providers
● Answering the main line and providing telephonic scheduling support

Requirements:
● High School Diploma or equivalent
● 2+ years of previous healthcare/administrative experience

Preferred Skills:
● EPIC experience
● Scheduling experience

Soft Skills:
● Patient - comfortable working with patients who are in difficult situations and often
frustrated
● Empathetic- Oncology means working with patients who often are terminally ill and
need emotional support from staff

Schedule/Shift:
Monday-Friday 8AM-5PM

Pay:
$18-29 per hour depending on experience

Contract Length:
3 month contract
