Job description

Position: Patient Scheduler
What You'll Do:
  • Interview and Schedule Patients: Conduct professional interviews and schedule patients for outpatient services, including pre-registration.
  • Coordinate Schedules: Maximize patient and physician satisfaction by coordinating patient schedules across the institution.
  • Communicate Requirements: Provide patients, physician office staff, and other personnel with patient instructions, physician order requirements, authorization/pre-certification/referral requirements.
  • Maintain Accuracy: Ensure scheduling and pre-registration accuracy in line with department standards.
  • Financial Estimates and Collections: Create estimates for patient financial responsibility and collect co-insurance, co-payment, and deductibles.
  • Financial Policy Compliance: Initiate processes to ensure patients meet hospital financial policies/guidelines and transfer to appropriate departments for complex situations.

Schedule & Compensation:
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM (onsite)
  • Pay: Up to $26.35 per hour
