Job description

Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Psychiatric Care

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic team of psychiatric professionals. This role involves working closely with a team of 4-5 doctors, both in-office and via telehealth, providing vital support in psychiatric care. The ideal candidate will have familiarity with psychiatric medications and contraindications, but we are open to new graduates or those looking to transition into the mental health field. Comprehensive on-the-job training will be provided by our Senior Nurse, who will be directly involved in your development.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

  • Administer Invega injections and other psychiatric medications as prescribed.
  • Perform vitals and check-ins with clients before their consultations with doctors.
  • Collaborate with a team of doctors to provide seamless patient care.
  • Interface with various pharmacies, insurance companies, and other healthcare providers.
  • Engage with clients in a compassionate and professional manner.
  • Support and collaborate with two other nurses responsible for administering injections.

Must-Have Skills/Qualifications:

  • Valid RN License.
  • Strong familiarity with psychiatric medications and their contraindications.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Proficient in interfacing with pharmacies and insurance companies.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

  • Experience in Behavioral Health (BH).
  • Spanish bilingual skills are a plus.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to psychiatric nursing practices.
