Job description

Job Title: Nurse Coordinator/Nurse Navigator

Location: Towson, MD

About Us: committed to providing exceptional care to our patients. We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nurse Coordinator/Nurse Navigator to join our team. You will play a crucial role in supporting and managing patients beginning or actively receiving treatment for a variety of cancers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Patient Load Management:
    • Support a caseload of approximately 20 existing patients and 2 new patients, requiring varying levels of support.
  • Patient Education:
    • Provide patients with information about their treatment process, upcoming steps, and answer their questions.
  • Appointment Coordination:
    • Assist in scheduling necessary appointments such as Radiology (PET scans, Echo scans, etc.), port placements for chemotherapy, biopsies, and other related procedures.
  • Communication:
    • Communicate with patients over the phone and via the patient portal to answer questions, provide updates, assist with new requests, and involve the provider as needed.

Requirements:

  • Must Have:

    • BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing)
    • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
    • Minimum of 2 years of Oncology experience
  • Nice to Have:

    • Experience with EPIC

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

Pay:

  • Competitive pay based on experience, $45-51/hr
