Job Title: Full-Time Registered Nurse (BSN) - Outpatient OBGYN Clinic

Job Summary: Join our prestigious healthcare team at Medix in New York City as a Full-Time Registered Nurse (BSN) in our Outpatient OBGYN Clinic. This role is ideal for a dedicated and compassionate nurse with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) who is passionate about women's health and eager to provide exceptional patient care in a dynamic healthcare environment. Candidates must have a minimum of 6 months of nursing experience and will be responsible for triaging patients efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Patient Care: - Provide direct nursing care to patients in the OBGYN clinic, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being. - Assist physicians and nurse practitioners in conducting examinations, procedures, and treatments. - Educate patients on OBGYN health, procedures, and post-care instructions.

2. Assessment and Documentation: - Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including medical history, vital signs, and relevant information. - Maintain accurate and complete patient records and documentation in compliance with regulatory standards.

3. Patient Advocacy: - Act as an advocate for patients, ensuring their concerns and needs are communicated to the healthcare team. - Address patient questions, provide emotional support, and offer resources as needed.

4. Collaborative Care: - Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare providers to ensure seamless patient care. - Participate in team meetings, case discussions, and quality improvement initiatives.

5. Clinical Skills: - Administer medications, vaccines, and other treatments as prescribed. - Perform venipuncture and collect specimens for diagnostic testing.

6. Triage: - Efficiently triage patients based on their clinical needs and urgency. - Prioritize care and direct patients to appropriate resources or specialists.

7. Infection Control: - Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a clean and safe clinical environment.

8. Patient Education: - Educate patients on prenatal care, family planning, contraception, and other OBGYN-related topics. - Provide information on community resources and support services.

9. Compliance: - Ensure compliance with state, federal, and healthcare system regulations and standards. - Stay updated on current healthcare guidelines and best practices.

Qualifications:

- Current New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license.

- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree.

- Minimum of 6 months of nursing experience, preferably in OBGYN or women's health.

- BLS certification; ACLS certification may be preferred.

- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

- Strong commitment to patient-centered care and confidentiality.
