Positions: Payment Poster/Credit Refund Specialist/Correspondence Specialist
Expected Shift/Hours: Monday through Friday; 8-5 with 1 hour lunch with additional flexibility as needed
Expected Duration: 3 months with the opportunity to move permanent and/or extension. They are looking to keep on top performers as FTEs.
Start Date: October 21st or 23rd

Payment Poster Job Summary:
The Payment Poster is responsible for processing payments in the department. This position will also be responsible for being able to see trends in insurance payments, identifying patterns and contacting insurance companies for resolution.

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma required.
• 2 Years of payment posting experience in a healthcare, medical or dental setting required.
• 2 plus years of experience with MS Office (Outlook email, calendars, Excel, SharePoint, MS Teams) and with billing software.
• Ability to work overtime as needed.

Credit Refund Specialist Job Summary:

The Refund Coordinator will issue reimbursements to guarantors and insurance carriers while verifying credit balance or overpayment validity. This position is responsible for processing credit balances and insurance overpayments while maintaining account integrity. Additional strategic objectives include:

• Evaluating the account ledger and determining validity of credit balances or insurance overpayments.
• Maintaining the credit balance report.
• Identifying and correcting ledger errors creating inaccuracies.

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 2 or more years of experience as a Refund Coordinator in a healthcare or dental setting is required.
• 2 plus years of experience with MS Office (Outlook email, calendars, Excel, SharePoint, MS Teams) and with billing software.

Correspondence Specialist Job Summary:

The Correspondence Specialist will process all correspondence received from banking system lockbox daily, as well as understand, and effectively process correspondence received as it relates to payer communication.
Strategic objectives for this role include:

• Processing and posting all correspondence received and assigned each day.
• Maintaining working knowledge of correspondence and payer follow-up needs based on the information received.
• Knowledgeably and effectively providing necessary follow-up on all correspondence received.

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 2 or more years of experience as a Correspondence Specialist or similar role in a healthcare or dental setting is required.
• Experience processing healthcare insurance correspondence housed in banking software "lockboxes" which are used to hold checks and correspondence sent from insurance companies. Example (RevApp/Texas Capital Bank/TCB.)
• Proficient in Microsoft office applications including Word, Excel and Outlook.
• 2 plus years of experience with MS Office (Outlook email, calendars, Excel, SharePoint, MS Teams) and with billing software.
