Job description

Are you a recent graduate passionate about working with animals and eager to contribute to groundbreaking human health research? We are excited to welcome new Research Associates to our team, regardless of prior experience! In this hands-on role, you'll support pharmaceutical development through various technical procedures while gaining invaluable skills in the field.

About Us: We utilize a range of animal models, including mice, rats, primates, swine, and dogs. This is your opportunity to develop expertise in animal research while making a meaningful impact. We offer multiple shifts to accommodate your schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) for working with study and stock animals, including:
    • Clinical observations
    • Blood draws and injections
    • Mating procedures and euthanasia
    • Data collection and documentation
  • Set up and maintain equipment for procedures.
  • Monitor animal health and behavior, reporting any issues.
  • Keep work areas clean and organized.
  • Assist with veterinary treatments and participate in animal socialization.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED required; a degree in a scientific discipline preferred.
  • 0-2 years of experience working with animals in research or regulated environments is a plus, but not mandatory!
  • ALAT certification preferred but not required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and a willingness to learn new software.
  • Strong attention to detail, multitasking skills, and adaptability.
  • Comfortable communicating with team members at all levels.
