Job description

Job Posting: Research Assistant I (RA)

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Research Assistant (RA) to join our team.

The Ideal candidate will have experience in a centrifuging samples, working with multiple human biospecimens.

Bachelor's degree is required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development and implementation of policies and procedures.
  • Contribute to specialized biorepository operations, such as phlebotomy (optional).
  • Support the development and maintenance of IRB approvals in the role of a regulatory specialist.
  • Obtain patient consent as required.
  • Oversee individual research projects, including maintaining regulatory binders, delegation logs, and project workflows, as assigned.
  • Keep accurate minutes for weekly Biorepository Operations meetings.
  • Assist in the creation and curation of project-specific workflow documents.
  • Manage reagent materials and maintain inventory of supplies and equipment.
  • Oversee the Proficiency Testing program to ensure quality and compliance.
  • Communicate with the IRB and submit necessary documentation (e.g., continuing review, KSP).
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Experience working in a Laboratory setting with human biospecimens
  • Multitasking Ability
  • Strong administrative capabilities with a high level of organization and attention to detail.
  • Basic scientific knowledge to support research and operational activities.

Desirable Qualifications

  • Certification or training in Clinical Research.
  • Phlebotomy training or experience.
