Remote Pharmacy Technician
Job description
Medix is seeking a Pharmacy Technician for a remote prior authorization role. Full time, M-F 9a-5p CST. Pay ranges from $20-25/hr depending on experience and benefits. This is a great opportunity to work with a Telehealth team specializing in weight loss solutions!
Pharmacy Technician Responsibilities:
- Follow prior authorization workflow and policies and procedures
- Review accuracy and completeness of information requested
- Proactively work on prior authorizations that are due to be expired
- Demonstrate knowledge of pharmacy benefits and medical benefits.
- Review and resolve denials
- Process referrals and submit clinical support documentation to insurance carriers
- File documentation into a patient's chart
Pharmacy Technician Qualifications:
- Minimum of three years Pharmacy Technician experience with prior authorizations
- CoverMyMeds experience
- Experience with prior auths for anti-obesity medications, such as GLP-1 such as Saxenda, Ozempic, Wegovy, and Mounjaro.
- Advanced computer skills required
- Minimum of a college degree, Pharmacy Technician Certification preferred
