Overview of Responsibilities

• CMS 1500 claim form experience
• They deal with electronic payments and they will be responsible for the online bill pay as a remote teammate
• They are responsible for running payments as patients call in
• Ensuring that the reports are balanced so they can enter them into QBO (QuickBooks)
• When they are answering phones, some patients will update their billing information and they are responsible for confirming these changes are applied to their account
• Speaking with insurance companies is a core function of the job
• Assisting staff and doctor's with billing questions as they come up
• Collections calls to give patients a heads up before they send their claims to collections if they have not been paid
• They work a lot with Google Docs
• Minimum of 4 years medical billing experience preferred
• General knowledge of both government and commercial payors is necessary as well
• Training will take course over a week or two through virtual trainings and consulting with the billing team lead and billing Manager for support
