Overview:

We are seeking a Medical Assistant (MA) to join our team and play a crucial role in optimizing patient care and streamlining our clinical processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Pre-Visit Patient Screening: Review potential patient records to identify eligibility based on criteria such as BMI and medical history.
• Medical Record Review: Conduct pre-charting and verify if patients have seen a PCP within the past 12 months.
• Chart Preparation: Prepare patient charts through core systems.
• EMR Interaction: Utilize EMR (Elation) to retrieve and review medical records, ensuring patients meet program guidelines.
• Additional Duties: Assist with patient enrollment, registration, insurance verification, and other administrative tasks as needed.

Qualifications:

• Must-Have Skills:
• Medical Assistant Certification
• At least 1 year of experience
• Comfortable working with computer systems
• Ability to work independently in a virtual environment
• Nice-to-Have Skills:
• Experience in a PCP adult practice or urgent care setting
• Previous experience in a virtual work environment

Schedule:

• Flexible, with a preference for 9 am - 5 pm EST or 10 am - 6 pm CST

Pay:

• $18-22/hr
