Job Title: Referrals Coordinator

Location: Remote (Eastern Standard Time - EST)

Position Type: Full-Time

Hourly Pay Rate: $18.50 per hour

We are seeking a highly organized Referrals Coordinator with expertise in Epic scheduling to ensure seamless referrals and patient access. This role is part of a team assisting with an Epic implementation, making it an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about healthcare technology. Super user status in Epic is highly desired.

Key Responsibilities:
Referral Coordination:
- Coordinate the transfer of medical records and patient information.
- Maintain organized electronic referral records within the Epic system.
- Verify patient insurance information accurately and promptly.
- Ensure patients have appropriate insurance coverage for referrals.
- Explain insurance benefits and potential costs to patients.
- Utilize Epic software to efficiently schedule referral appointments.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers and clinical staff for timely referrals.

Qualifications:

- Proven experience in referral coordination with a strong emphasis on Epic scheduling.
- Proficiency in Epic software for scheduling and referral management.
- Super user status in Epic highly desired.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations and privacy laws (e.g., HIPAA).
