Overview:

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to join our team! This is a full-time position with a shift schedule of 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM, including a 30-minute lunch break. You'll work exclusively in our pediatric unit, helping young patients navigate their respiratory health needs with coaching, encouragement, and excellent communication.

Position Details:

• Patient Volume: Approximately 30-40 patients daily, depending on the day.
• Team Structure: Collaborate with 4 dedicated RT techs.
• Compensation: $38-$42/hour, based on experience.
• Hours: Monday-Friday 7:30a-4:30p

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

• Prepare and calibrate PFT (Pulmonary Function Test) equipment (10%).
• Collect test samples, perform initial test analysis, and communicate findings (1%).
• Perform tests per American Thoracic Society Guidelines (70%).
• Adhere to departmental policies, safety, and infection control standards (10%).
• Assist with billing, data entry, and lab equipment maintenance (9%).

Required Qualifications:

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
• Active Missouri Respiratory Therapist License

Preferred Qualifications:

• Pediatric PFT experience
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Knowledge of PFT equipment and procedures

Working Conditions:

• Patient care in a pediatric hospital environment
• Exposure to blood-borne pathogens and chemicals (protective devices provided)
