Job description

We are looking for Full-time Registered Nurses to work at the Atlanta VA Health Care Center! If you have VA or Military experience, you could be a perfect fit!

Shift: Mondays-Fridays, flexible 8, 10 and 12 hour shifts
Location: Atlanta VA Health Care Center - 1670 Clairmont Road, Decatur, GA 30033

Job Description:

  • Assess and prioritize patient care needs based on VA protocols and guidelines.
  • Develop and implement nursing care plans in collaboration with healthcare providers.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
  • Monitor and evaluate patient responses to treatments and interventions.
  • Educate patients and their families on health maintenance and disease prevention.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care in electronic health records (EHR).
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes.
  • Adhere to infection control policies and procedures to maintain a safe healthcare environment.
  • May be required to work with COVID 19 positive patients and Patients Under Investigation (PUI), for COVID 19.

Qualifications:

  • Active RN license
  • Minimum of 3 years of clinical nursing experience, preferably in a hospital or healthcare setting. (must have worked within the last six months)
  • BLS/CPR certification
  • Covid Vaccination (booster not required)
  • VA or Military experience is preferred!
