We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Family Medicine team. The RN is responsible for delivering both direct and indirect nursing care, including health maintenance, patient education, counseling, and care planning to promote optimal patient comfort and functionality. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong initiative, critical thinking, and leadership while effectively collaborating with the clinical team.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Assess patients by gathering patient history and performing relevant tests and observations.
Communicate effectively with providers and educate patients on test results, care plans, and medication usage.
Exhibit sound clinical judgment when triaging sick patients, both in person and over the phone.
Administer medications, tests, and treatments as prescribed.
Educate patients and families on healthcare regimens, providing guidance on wellness, test results, medications, diet, and exercise.
Job Overview:
Split responsibilities between clinical and non-clinical tasks.
Tasks include EPIC in-basket work, phone triage, patient follow-up, nurse visits, vaccine/injection administration, and assisting providers.
Daily task rotation ensures variety and minimizes consecutive assignment to the same duties.
Patient volume ranges from 9-12 patients per day.

Required Qualifications:
Active BLS Certification
Massachusetts RN License
Preferred Qualifications:
Bilingual Skills
Experience in Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHC)
Family Medicine Experience
Schedule/Shift:
Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM
Requirement to sign up for occasional evening shifts (11:00 AM - 8:00 PM or 11:30 AM - 8:30 PM)
Evening shift schedule is published 6-8 weeks in advance, with flexibility to choose preferred shifts.
