Job description

Are you on the new market for a full time position? Medix is hiring an Operating Room Procedural Registered Nurse to work for a well know healthcare organization in DC. Position Overview:

  • Title: Procedural Registered Nurse
  • Employment Type: Full Time
  • Location: Washington, DC (near Foggy Bottom)
  • Specialty: Vascular, Interventional Radiology, Pain Management (injections) and some Ortho with potential to expand more; Vascular, IR/Pain majority to start
  • Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:30-4 or 8-5.
  • Pay: 34.90/hr - 55/hr

Responsibilities:

  • Conducts comprehensive patient assessments, considering physical, psychosocial, and cultural factors to develop individualized care plans.
  • Identifies nursing problems, sets measurable goals, and creates nursing interventions to address medical diagnoses and patient needs.
  • Collaborates with physicians and healthcare teams to implement, evaluate, and adjust care plans as necessary.
  • Provides patient education to support health management and maximize participation in care.
  • Assists physicians with daily patient care, including history-taking, assessments, procedures, and treatments.
  • Ensures accurate documentation of nursing care and patient progress while adhering to hospital policies and ethical standards.
  • Demonstrates leadership by evaluating care delivery, identifying policy deviations, mentoring staff, and modeling professional behavior.
  • Utilizes nursing research to enhance clinical practices and improve patient outcomes.

Requirements:

  • At least two years of relevant clinical experience
  • OR/ PACU is preferred but not required
  • Active ACLS and DC RN License
