Nurse Manager - Primary Care

Locations: Amenia, Peekskill, Wyandanch, Southampton, Brooklyn, Bronx, Richmond Hill, Jamaica Queens, NY

Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Nurse Manager to join our team at multiple locations, including Amenia, Peekskill, Wyandanch, Southampton, Brooklyn, Bronx, Richmond Hill, and Jamaica Queens. As a Nurse Manager, you will render professional nursing care to patients within our busy primary care units, ensuring that care is delivered in accordance with organizational objectives and policies. You will be responsible for managing and leading the clinical staff, ensuring adherence to quality standards, and participating in site leadership initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide patient education tailored to individual needs and document all interactions in the medical record.
  • Lead and manage the clinical support team, including recruitment, performance reviews, onboarding, and training.
  • Ensure that all clinical staff adhere to workflows and documentation requirements in EHR, in line with quality standards.
  • Review and analyze site quality data, identifying strategies for improvement in collaboration with site leadership.
  • Ensure implementation and adherence to standard procedures and workflows, including medication management, pre-visit planning, team huddles, and exam room readiness.
  • Oversee laboratory operations and ensure continuous review of In-House Lab Tests Quality Control and Maintenance Logs.
  • Participate in monthly leadership and staff meetings, and lead initiatives to promote quality, safety, and patient satisfaction.
  • Conduct monthly meetings with the clinical support team to review organizational priorities and updates.
  • Perform direct patient care duties as needed, including patient interviews, equipment preparation, and assisting practitioners during examinations and treatments.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) required.
  • Experience: 3-5 years of relevant experience in a clinical setting.
  • Licensure: Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in NYS, CPR Certification, and Infection Control Certification.
