Registered Nurse
Setting: Womens Health / Reproductive Healthcare Clinic
Location: Charlottesville, VA
Typical Pay Range: $40 - 45/hr weekly pay
Facility Operations: Monday - Saturday, 8-5
Shift: Monday - Friday 8a - 5p rotating every other Saturday shifts

Overview
The RN works directly with the physicians and other staff to deliver comprehensive medical care to patients including gynecological and abortion care.

Essential Functions
Assist in health screenings such as pap smears, pelvic exams, breast checks, STI screening.
Counsel patients regarding birth control options, including diaphragms and IUDs.
Counsel, educate, and provide resources on women's health issues.
Provide counseling for gynecological problems such as infection, abnormal bleeding, or abnormal pap results.
Dispensing Mifepristone or Misoprostol under MD orders
Assisting the MD in Medical Abortion care visits.
Follow up visits for patients experiencing post-abortion problems.

Skills/Qualifications
Active RN license in Virginia
Current BLS (Basic Life Support)
Preferred experience within womens health/family practice
IV sedation and experience
Understanding of abortions / Wanting to work in this particular care
Saturday coverage is required
Provide unbiased information to patients
