Schedule/ Shift: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM with one 12p-8p shift per week (not Fridays)


Job Description

The RN will be responsible for the care of patients with urgent care needs. The RN will assist providers with testing, medication education, wound care, POC testing. The RN will be handling 10-15 PPD.

  • Performing physical assessments, taking vital signs, and documenting findings in the electronic health record (EPIC)
  • Collecting a thorough medical history from patients and family members upon admission.
  • Interpreting laboratory results and relaying important findings to other members of the multidisciplinary team
  • Collaborating with other healthcare providers to develop treatment plans and establish goals of care
  • Delivers patient care and patient education in a manner that is appropriate to patient's age, physical ability, educational level and culture. Demonstrates proficiency in adapting care to meet the needs of the following patient populations: neonatal, pediatric/adolescent, adult, geriatric.
  • Schedules and conducts appropriate nursing appointments as needed or directed by provider including but not limited to blood pressure checks, immunizations, PPDs, patient education, premarital testing and counseling, wound checks, patient education, etc.
  • Triages patient telephone calls according to telephone triage guidelines and makes necessary arrangements for follow-up.
  • Interviews patients, completes or update medical histories, and performs clinical assessment of patients as needed.

Minimum Education and Experience Qualification Requirements:

  • Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Massachusetts Registered Nurse License
  • 1+ year of experience required
  • FQHC, UC, Primary Care, Outpatient or Pediatrics experience preferred
