Job description

HIRING NOW

We are seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for a contract position at a dialysis clinic in Mountlake Terrace, WA. The ideal candidate will be focused on providing dialysis treatment, direct patient care, and collaborating with the care team. Nurses at PSKC are responsible for assessing and managing patient care, communicating with providers, and overseeing the dialysis process while ensuring the highest standards of care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform morning checks, including water quality and emergency supplies, before patients arrive.
  • Assess and manage patient care, particularly for potentially unstable patients.
  • Communicate with providers, administer medications, and manage patient care plans.
  • Collaborate with care coordinators and Dialysis Clinic Managers (DCMs) to ensure patient needs are met.
  • Serve as the charge nurse for assigned shifts, ensuring efficient clinic operations.
  • Monitor dialysis treatment and assist with any related patient care needs.

Must Have Qualifications:

  • Degree: Degree from an accredited school of nursing (BSN or ASN acceptable).
  • Licensure: Current Registered Nurse (RN) license from the WA State Board of Nursing or Multistate Nurse Compact License (please include credential #).
  • Certifications: Current CPR and BLS certifications from the American Heart Association.
  • Experience:
    • New grads may be accepted at some locations.
    • Ideal Target: RN with 1-3 years of nursing experience.
    • Perfect Candidate: RN with 1+ years of dialysis experience.

Nice to Have Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in Hemodialysis or Peritoneal Dialysis.
  • Prior experience in Acute or Ambulatory Nursing.

Soft Skills or Behaviors:

  • Strong critical thinking skills
  • Punctual and reliable

Schedule/Shift:

  • 6am - 5pm, Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday
