Job description

Job Title: Radioligy Scheduler - Part Time

Location: Mellville, NY

Hours: Part Time, Monday-Friday 10 AM - 3 PM OR Monday-Wednesday 8-4/9-5

Requirements: recent medical reception/scheduler experience, insurance verifications, high school diploma or GED equivalent

Nice to haves: Epic expereince, radiology scheduling experience

Responsibilities:

  • Schedule radiology appointments efficiently while considering patient needs, physician availability, and equipment utilization.

  • Verify patient demographics, insurance eligibility, and prior authorization requirements.

  • Communicate appointment details, preparation instructions, and procedural guidelines to patients.

  • Coordinate with radiologists, technicians, and referring physicians to ensure smooth workflow.

  • Maintain accurate scheduling records and update patient information in the system.

  • Handle appointment cancellations, reschedules, and urgent scheduling requests.

  • Assist patients with inquiries regarding their appointments and insurance verification.

  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA and medical privacy regulations.

  • Collaborate with billing and insurance departments to resolve any scheduling-related concerns.
