Job Title: Radioligy Scheduler - Part Time
Location: Mellville, NY
Hours: Part Time, Monday-Friday 10 AM - 3 PM OR Monday-Wednesday 8-4/9-5
Requirements: recent medical reception/scheduler experience, insurance verifications, high school diploma or GED equivalent
Nice to haves: Epic expereince, radiology scheduling experience
Responsibilities:
Schedule radiology appointments efficiently while considering patient needs, physician availability, and equipment utilization.
Verify patient demographics, insurance eligibility, and prior authorization requirements.
Communicate appointment details, preparation instructions, and procedural guidelines to patients.
Coordinate with radiologists, technicians, and referring physicians to ensure smooth workflow.
Maintain accurate scheduling records and update patient information in the system.
Handle appointment cancellations, reschedules, and urgent scheduling requests.
Assist patients with inquiries regarding their appointments and insurance verification.
Ensure compliance with HIPAA and medical privacy regulations.
Collaborate with billing and insurance departments to resolve any scheduling-related concerns.
