Overview: Medix is actively hiring for a Radiation Therapist in Panama City, FL. This position is a Direct Hire role with relocation.
Job Responsibilities:
Conduct patient assessments to gather relevant medical history and information for treatment planning.
Participate in the development and implementation of radiation treatment plans based on physician prescriptions.
Administer radiation therapy according to established protocols, ensuring precise delivery of prescribed doses.
Monitor and assess patients for any adverse reactions during treatment sessions.
Educate patients on the purpose, process, and potential side effects of radiation therapy.
Provide emotional support and address any concerns or questions patients may have regarding their treatment.
Operate and maintain radiation therapy equipment, ensuring proper functionality and safety.
Report any equipment malfunctions or issues promptly and collaborate with the appropriate personnel for resolution.
Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
3 years of experience as a Radiation Therapist
ARRT Certified
Florida Radiation Therapy License
Experience with Varian preferred
Shift: Full Time - Monday - Friday, flexibility on start time between 7am-9am
Compensation: $74,880/year - $83,200/year depending on experience
Relocation Bonus: Up to $5,000***
***Eligibility dependent on geographic location of 50 or more miles from the worksite location
