R&D Assembler

R&D Assembler

Lake Zurich, IL

Pay: $21-30/HR

Shift: M-F, Flexible Daylight Hours

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Associate's degree or higher in a related scientific field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience, preferably in the medical device industry.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Adhere to Quality System and follow all relevant Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as outlined in the Training Matrix.
  • Assemble small components and products according to both verbal and written instructions and procedures.
  • Work independently, completing assignments efficiently, accurately, and within deadlines.
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information in compliance with company policies.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols at all times.
  • Operate a range of equipment, including adhesive dispensers, vertical shrinkers, braiders, tipping machines, drilling and punching machines, and measurement devices to assemble catheters and related components.
  • Maintain detailed records of materials used, procedures followed, and inspection data, such as device history records (LHR).
  • Identify and report the need for repairs or upgrades to manufacturing equipment.
  • Foster positive working relationships with colleagues and team members.
  • Monitor the availability and condition of materials, tools, and procedures throughout the manufacturing process, ensuring incoming materials meet purchase order specifications.
  • Assist engineering project leads with procedure modifications and propose improvements for product assembly or subassemblies.
  • Conduct product and component testing according to written protocols and test procedures.
