Ramsey, MN 55303

1st Shift, M-Friday (M-Th 9 hour shifts, Friday half day) Start 6AM or 7AM

Pay: $23-25/HR

Duration: 7-8 month Contract

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum two years of experience in mechanical inspection or an equivalent combination of experience and a related technical school degree.
  • Proficient in surface plate part setup and the use of basic measuring tools (calipers, gauge pins, height gauge, micrometer, paint thickness gauge, etc.).
  • Ability to read and understand work instructions, schematics, blueprints, and GD&T.
  • Proficient computer skills with Microsoft products (Outlook, Excel, Word, OneNote).
  • Effective communication skills in English (speak, read, write, and understand).
  • Detail-oriented.
  • Flexibility to change shifts for a few days as backup support if needed is highly preferred.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conduct incoming quality and first article inspections on purchased components, documenting the results.
  • Verify steel gauge, geometry, certifications, and appearance.
  • Perform final inspections of tubes and/or weldments before shipment to sister facilities.
  • Conduct in-process audits according to standard work and control plans.
  • Report non-conformances to supervisors, the Quality Manager, and/or Supplier Quality Engineers for corrective action.
  • Initiate discrepancy reports on rejected materials using Oracle and OneNote.
  • Review, sort, or rework line rejects as assigned.
  • Track and document quality process performance and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Support ATO Final Inspection as needed.
