Monroe, CT 06468

Monday - Friday, 10:30PM to 6:30AM

Pay: $20-25/HR

Duration: 6 month contract to direct hire

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Ability to follow documented procedures and standards.
  • Proficiency with various measuring instruments, including CMMs, video measurement systems, comparators, height gauges, and microscopes.
  • Solid understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
  • Strong research, documentation, and analytical skills.
  • High-level math proficiency and attention to detail.
  • Experience in promoting process improvements.
  • Excellent oral and written communication abilities.
  • Customer service skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Interprets blueprints and specifications to ensure accurate understanding.
  • Verifies incoming, in-process, and finished products by confirming adherence to specifications, performing visual and measurement tests, communicating necessary adjustments to production supervisors, and managing product rework.
  • Serves as a contact point for addressing issues when appropriate.
  • Operates measuring instruments such as video measurement systems, comparators, height gauges, microscopes, CMMs, and handheld gauges.
  • Communicates inspection findings with relevant personnel to address product quality.
  • Records inspection outcomes by completing reports, summarizing rework and waste, and updating quality databases.
  • Supports established Quality Management System (QMS) and Quality Assurance (QA) processes, recommending changes as needed to uphold high-quality standards.
  • Maintains a safe and compliant work environment by adhering to standards, procedures, and regulations.
  • Enhances knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and reviewing technical publications.
