Job description

Medix is currently partnered with a leader in the development, testing, and manufacturing of medical devices, and is seeking a dedicated Quality Technician to join their Lake Zurich, IL location. This role has been created to meet the demands of a customer requiring increased inspections throughout the assembly process. The Quality Technician will play a critical role in ensuring the integrity and precision of their products, working closely with the assembly team in a clean room environment.

Pay rate is $23 - 26 / hour depending on experience.

Hours are Monday - Friday, 6AM - 2:30PM.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform product and component inspections according to customer specifications and engineering drawings.
  • Work closely with the assembly team to conduct in-process inspections.
  • Utilize precision measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, vision systems, and inspection microscopes.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings.
  • Complete corresponding quality documentation and reports, including first article reports, inspection forms, and non-conformance reports (NCRs).
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment in compliance with clean room standards.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality inspection, with a preference for experience in the medical device industry.
  • Proficiency in reading and understanding blueprints and engineering drawings.
  • Experience with precision measurement and metrology tools.
  • Comfortable using computers and proficient with the MS Office suite.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
