Quality Inspector

The Colony, TX

Pay: $18-20/HR

Shift: M-F, daylight hours

Contract to Hire

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in Quality Assurance.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to assist in training inspectors.
  • Proven track record of contributing to process and product improvements and participating in group problem-solving activities.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conduct inspections on incoming materials upon receipt.
  • Perform in-process and final inspections on subassemblies and finished products.
  • Interpret and follow inspection guidelines, drawings, sampling plans, and quality standards.
  • Ensure compliance with FDA/ISO standards, safety protocols, and company policies.
  • Operate measurement tools, including calipers, optical comparators, and electronic testing devices.
  • Maintain detailed records of Receiving Inspections and enter relevant data into the system.
  • Handle nonconforming materials by documenting them on Discrepancy Reports.
  • Execute accurate transactions in Oracle to accept and deliver products, generate BOMs, and more.
  • Provide feedback to supervisors on potential improvements to processes.
  • Maintain consistent attendance.
