Position: Full-Time Quality Assurance Technician

Schedule Options:

  1. Position 1: Monday to Friday, 9:30 AM - 6:00 PM
  2. Position 2: Sunday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM; Monday to Thursday, 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM

Job Description:

We are looking for detail-oriented Quality Assurance Technicians to ensure the highest standards of accuracy and compliance in our medication orders. The successful candidates will be responsible for performing thorough quality checks on bulk and prepackaged medications, adhering to all policies and regulations, and supporting pharmacy operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Bulk QA:

  • Reconcile bulk queues at the end of the day.
  • Fill and perform quality checks on medication orders to ensure drug name, strength, and quantity match the prescription label.
  • Review products for damage and verify expiration dates are appropriate for dispense.
  • Identify products that are not 100% compliant and forward them to the pharmacist for review.

Prepack QA:

  • Perform quality checks on medication orders to ensure drug name, strength, quantity, and expiration date match the prescription label.

  • Closely review cards for double drops, broken tablets, and contamination.

  • Identify cards that are not 100% compliant and forward them to the pharmacist for review.

  • Complete all tasks in a timely and economical manner.

  • Follow all policies and procedures outlined in the Clinical Solutions Employee Handbook, Safety Manual, and Fulfillment Procedures.

  • Adhere to all applicable government regulations, including HIPAA.

  • Complete special projects and other duties as assigned by the Pharmacy Supervisor.
