Job description

We are currently hiring for a QC inspector at a medical device manufacturing organization in Chenequa, WI.

Pay Range

  • $19/hr-$22/hr

2nd shift

  • 2:30pm-11pm

Position Title: QC Inspector

POSITION SUMMARY:

We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Quality Inspector to join our team. The Quality Inspector will play a critical role in ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate will have experience in quality control processes and possess a strong understanding of regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Inspection & Testing:
    • Perform visual, mechanical, and functional inspections of raw materials, components, and finished medical devices.
    • Conduct tests to verify product compliance with specifications and regulatory requirements (e.g., biocompatibility, sterilization, packaging integrity).
    • Document and report inspection results, including measurements, deviations, and non-conformances
  • Documentation & Reporting:
    • Maintain accurate records of inspections, test results, and any corrective or preventive actions taken.
    • Assist in the preparation and review of batch records, inspection logs, and other quality-related documentation.
  • Compliance & Standards:

    • Ensure that all products meet applicable regulatory and industry standards
    • Identify any quality issues or non-conformances, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to investigate root causes and implement corrective actions.
    • Participate in internal and external audits, as required.
  • Continuous Improvement:

    • Actively contribute to the company's continuous improvement initiatives by providing input on quality processes and best practices.
    • Assist in the validation and qualification of new equipment, tools, and processes.
    • Recommend improvements to enhance product quality and reduce waste.
  • Collaboration:

    • Work closely with Production, Engineering, and R&D teams to ensure that quality is maintained throughout the product lifecycle.
    • Provide support to the training of staff on quality-related processes and standards.
    • Assist with the resolution of customer complaints or field issues related to product quality.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in quality control within a regulated industry.
  • Proficiency in basic math, including conversions between fractions and decimals.
  • Capability to work in varying environmental conditions, including extreme temperatures and elevated areas.
  • Ability to maintain a physical stance (sitting, walking, standing) for extended periods, with frequent bending and kneeling.
  • Capability to lift up to 50 lbs.
