Location: Chenequa, WI

We are currently hiring for a QC inspector at a medical device manufacturing organization in Chenequa, WI.

Shift times

  • Monday - Friday
    • 1st shift (7am-3pm)
    • 2nd shift (3pm-11:30pm)

Pay Range

  • $19/hr-$22/hr

Position Title: QC Inspector

POSITION SUMMARY:

As a Quality Control Inspector, you will be instrumental in maintaining and enhancing the quality standards of our products. Your role involves inspecting raw materials and finished goods, meticulous documentation, and ensuring adherence to quality procedures. This position requires an eye for detail, adaptability to different working conditions, and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct inspections of raw materials and finished products, including medical items, using manual, visual, measurement, and test equipment according to company standards.
  • Accurately complete documentation to record inspection results and ensure proper inventory control.
  • Provide product disposition and maintain compliance with established quality procedures and company policies.
  • Perform in-process inspections and testing of materials and products to ensure adherence to quality standards.
  • Interpret and follow company procedures for material and equipment inspections, including the operation of various test equipment.
  • Document inspection results according to specified procedures and identify and report errors or discrepancies for resolution.
  • Utilize tools such as rulers, calipers, micrometers, and scales to conduct precise measurements and tests.
  • Detect defects and initiate non-conforming material reports based on company policy or Accepted Quality Limits (AQL).
  • Communicate effectively with quality assurance, warehouse, maintenance, and manufacturing teams regarding inspection results, non-conforming reports, and product quality concerns.
  • Verify and approve line start-ups and equipment requirements in alignment with company procedures when necessary.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in quality control within a regulated industry.
  • Proficiency in basic math, including conversions between fractions and decimals.
  • Capability to work in varying environmental conditions, including extreme temperatures and elevated areas.
  • Ability to maintain a physical stance (sitting, walking, standing) for extended periods, with frequent bending and kneeling.
  • Capability to lift up to 50 lbs.
