Job description

Overview: The Purchasing Specialist manages procurement activities for CMC materials, fixed assets, R&D supplies, office materials, and catering. This role supports the Procurement Supervisor in supplier relations, ensures compliance with ethical standards and regulations, and works with cross-functional teams to enhance supply chain efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Procurement Supervisor with procurement processes, including materials, assets, and services.
  • Manage purchase orders (PO), payments, and related documentation.
  • Communicate regularly with suppliers regarding POs and payments.
  • Collaborate with finance and legal on contracts and documentation.
  • Coordinate with QA on supplier evaluations, change controls, and investigations of deviations.
  • Ensure compliance with procurement policies, laws, and ethical standards.
  • Track sourcing, price comparisons, negotiations, and delivery for orders.
  • Support demand forecasting with supply chain and manufacturing teams.
  • Maintain compliance with Environmental Health, Safety, and Information Security policies.

Qualifications:

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree familiar with purchasing/procurement experience, ideally in biopharma or manufacturing.
  • Fluent in both English and Chinese is preferred.
  • Knowledge of GMP principles is a plus.
  • Strong MS Office and electronic procurement systems skills.
  • Team player, adaptable, with a sense of responsibility and attention to detail.
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
