Job Title: Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)

Salary Expectations -$200/hr

Work Location: Fort Collins, CO

  • This position is a Hybrid role - working remotely from home and occasionally going into the clinic once a month in Fort Collins, CO

Shift: Part Time -10 hours per week

  • Flexible Schedule - working 1 10 hour day or split shifts a few days per week

General Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nurse Practitioner specializing in Psychiatry to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide direct psychiatric patient care for children, adolescents, young adults, and their families. Strong understanding of psychiatric disorders, excellent communication skills, and collaboration with healthcare professionals are essential for success in this role

Essential Functions:

  • Perform telehealth psychiatric evaluations and management to roughly 6 patients per week on rotation
  • Provide direct psychiatric patient care for children, adolescents, young adults, and their families
  • Maintain accurate and timely medical records
  • Develop and implement clinical policies and procedures
  • Provide consultation and education to community providers.
  • Prescribe and manage medications, using an electronic prescribing system.
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
  • Consult with local health care providers or behavioral health providers on complex client cases.
  • Maintain updated knowledge of, and follow, laws and regulations governing the practice of psychiatry in Colorado.
  • Maintain awareness of and support implementation of clinical best practice.
  • Document patient encounters, symptoms, medications, treatments, orders, and referrals in the Electronic Medical Records System
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner with expertise in mental health assessment, diagnosis, triage, psychiatric medication management, and crisis intervention.
  • Experience working with a wide range of patient population (ages 0-18 years old preferred)
  • Proficient with technology and Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems, with preference for ICANotes.
  • Education: A master's or doctoral degree from an accredited program in psychiatric mental health nursing.
  • Licensure:
  • Unrestricted Colorado license and valid DEA number.
  • Certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC).
  • Registration with the state Prescription Monitoring Program (PMP).
