Job description

This individual will be responsible for 1 brand new facility build out with a Pharmaceutical Manufacturer in Glendale, CA. Facility build out will start shortly after this hire. From there, the project is slated to last 2 years. Manufacturing is scheduled to take place until March of 2027 - Super long lead time with this project

Summary of Essential Job Functions

  • Provide technical leadership in deviation, out-of-specification, and change control management to ensure compliance with internal standards and regulatory requirements are met
  • Manage a team of six Project Engineers and coordinate subcontractors on site
  • Run technical meetings with relevant parties
  • Project planning and scheduling for equipment Commissioning, Qualification, and Validation (toward project end)
  • Prepare detailed bid evaluations for procurement of the process equipment and system construction packages
  • Manage and supervise 6 Azzur Group Project Engineers while onsite
  • Communicate with and coordinate the efforts of sub-contractors
  • Communicate project timeline updates to upper management
  • Ensure project timeline expectations are met
  • Conduct technical meetings with relevant parties

Minimum Requirements

  • BS/MS degree required. An advanced degree in Chemical, Mechanical or Biomedical Engineering is a plus.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience leading facility expansion projects, facility build-outs, and/or process development.
  • This experience must come from a regulated manufacturing environment (i.e. Pharmaceutical, BioTech, Medical Device, etc.)
  • Highly motivated and organized, solutions-oriented leader
  • Able to produce results in a fast paced, collaborative environment
  • Excellent facilitation, negotiation, conflict resolution skills, and cross functional collaboration skills to foster positive business relationships with the ability to network with different functional areas
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; excellent technical writing skills
