Production Operator

Details

Production Operator (Electropolisher)

Monroe, CT 06468

Monday - Friday, 1st or 3rd Shift Available

Pay: $20-25/HR

Duration: 6 month contract to direct hire

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Ability to understand and follow written instructions in English.
  • Proficiency in accurately documenting processing details.
  • Effective communication skills in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Capability to lift 40 lbs. safely and independently.
  • Physical agility to climb stairs, reach, and maneuver as required.
  • Competence in using hand carts and operating fully loaded pallet jacks.
  • Stamina to stand throughout the workday.
  • Familiarity with micrometers, microscopes, gauges, and other quality control tools preferred.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings is advantageous.
  • High School diploma or GED preferred.
  • Previous experience in electropolishing, plating, or metal finishing highly desirable.
  • Prior experience in a manufacturing environment is beneficial.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Execute daily production tasks according to documented procedures.
  • Ensure adherence to electropolishing and passivation processes, prioritizing quality and safety.
  • Identify non-conforming products through visual or dimensional inspections.
  • Promptly communicate quality and quantity issues to supervisors and colleagues.
  • Perform manual pre-cleaning of parts as required.
  • Record in-process inspection results accurately.
  • Monitor production processes and take timely corrective actions to maintain quality and meet quantity targets.
  • Inspect and maintain equipment, recommending repairs or maintenance as needed.
  • Transport in-process work between departments as necessary.
  • Maintain compliance with safety regulations and uphold housekeeping standards.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
