Procedure Nurse

RN

• Pay 30-40/hr

• CTH or DH - pending confirmation

• Min 2+ yrs exp

• Location: 120 Rue Louis XIV, Lafayette, LA 70508

• Hours:

  • 730 am - 530-6pm

  • NOT a ton of flexibility here - they are tight on staff and need someone who can commit to this always

  • Off at 330 ever FRI

• Patient Volume: ~16 cases a day, around 30 min each, mostly mild cases (biopsies, circumcision, Botox, vasectomy)

• Urology is all they do - so any exp in this space is perfect

  • Understand they have a hold on most urology exp in the area - OBGYN OR GI exp is the next best thing - biggest need is true surgical experience.

  • Hospital / outpatient setting (NO {Pre/Post op monitoring exp, this does no good for them)

• Must Have

  • robust surgical exp, need to have worked in an operating room working as a part of the procure helping the provider

  • "A -> Z" - full service nursing, they will be with patient from rooming them to taking them to their ride home

  • Rooming patient, triage, vitals, prepping patient on bed (lifting and moving patient if needed), Phleb, instrument prep / sterilization, surgical operation support during procedure

  • Familiar / exp with "conscious sedation"

  • Will NOT be starting IV or giving anesthesia but will give antibiotics

• Culture

  • Team atmosphere

  • Quick moving, fast paced

  • NOT a ton of time to train and hold hands

    • Need someone that can jump in, think quick, and be an asset early on

      • If someone needs an in-depth training regiment this is not the job for them

      • They are short staffed and need someone to come in quick and support

Operating room experience - "extensive surgical exp"

"A -> Z" - full service nursing, they will be with patient from rooming them to taking them to their ride home

RN or LVN Licence

Urology Surgical exp - if not GI or OBGYN exp is next best

Ability and willingness to work a lot. They need to be working almost every required hour M-F
