Overview:

Prior Authorization Rep / Billing Specialist (Contact-To-Hire)

Phoenix, AZ 85016 (FULLY ONSITE)

Monday-Friday 7AM-3:30PM

Pay: $17-$21/HR DOE

HIRING ASAP

MUST HAVE QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience with obtaining medical authorizations (portals)
• Comfortable with EMRs, Microsoft Excel
• Team Player
• High school diploma

• Ideally multiple years of medical billing experience

Responsibilities:

• Complete authorizations for all cardio locations - mainly for procedures and testing (echo-cardiogram, device checks, etc.)

• Read and understand provider notes to obtain authorization

• Navigate sometimes complex authorization websites and insurance portals

• Navigate and communicate using Athena

• Computer uploading, faxing and documenting in the medical record.

• Good understanding of insurances PPO, HMO AHCCCS Indemnity

• Answer auth questions to MAs/Schedulers as they are with patients

• Held to metrics: work in buckets but usually held to 50 items a day (high volume)
