Exciting career opportunity for Pre-Op PACU Nurses in Mclean, VA!

Are you a dedicated and skilled PACU Nurse ready for your next role? Medix is partnering with a distinguished health organization in Mclean, VA to find Pre-Op PACU Nurse to join their team! If you're looking for a place to provide exceptional care in a great environment, this is the opportunity for you!

Job Requirements:

  • Associate's Degree in Nursing
  • 2+ years of experience in Pre-Op/PACU, with a strong background in Surgery Centers and Orthopedics
  • ACLS, BLS, and PALS certified

Job Overview:

  • Actively support the total perioperative processes as a collaborative team member
  • Support risk management programs aimed at patient and employee safety
  • Prove pre and post-anesthesia care to adult and pediatric patients
  • Assess and reassess pain; utilize multi-modal pain management therapies
  • Assist anesthesiologists with nerve blocks and other procedures
  • Perform and document ongoing patient assessments in the electronic medical record (EMR)
  • Develop and collaborate on patient care plans
  • Review and assess preoperative/postoperative physician orders and patient medical histories
  • Conduct preoperative diagnostic procedures and provide appropriate follow-up
  • Communicate effectively with patients, visitors, physicians, and co-workers
