ABOUT OUR CLIENT / ABOUT THE ROLE
Medix is currently seeking a Data Engineer who has a depth of recent experience with Practice Fusion EHR. This individual will be joining a Research Team to help extract and transform patient records currently in Practice Fusion. This data is used within broader Research Studies, and is formatted into a common data model. Strong ETL (SQL) and Data Manipulation skills (Excel) are required. This individual will be working as an individual contributor, with limited technical direction

RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE

• Partnering with health clinics to extracting patient data from their Practice Fusion EHR platforms
• Creating the framework and automations to extract, transform and load data in the future
• Manipulating the data and transforming it into the standard format that has been established.
• Loading the data into the databank that exists to manage the data for all of the participants in this Research Study
• Partnering with the full-time Data Engineers on contributing Practice Fusion data for their broader pipelines

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & TECHNICAL SKILLS

• Bachelor Degree in a Computer Science or related discipline
• 3+ years of Practice Fusion EHR experience
• Strong ETL experience (SQL, Excel)
• Strong data manipulation experience
• Prior Higher Education or Research Industry experience is a plus
• Bilingual in Spanish is a plus
