A large academic facility is seeking an Experienced Full Time Plastic Surgery Coder.

This is a fully Remote 4 month contract to hire position with benefits.

Must reside in one of the following states-WI, MN, TX, FL, NC or TN.

Must Haves:

Minimum of 1 year plastic surgery experience facility side

CPC or CPC-A or AHIMA

Nice to Haves:

Excel Experience

EPIC Experience

Microsoft Office and Word

Overview of Responsibilities:

• Review patient charts and documentation from plastic, trauma and reconstructive surgery procedures.
• Assign the appropriate ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes based on procedure and diagnosis.
• Work closely with surgeons, healthcare providers, and administrative teams to ensure accurate coding and billing.
• Research and stay updated on current coding guidelines and regulations related to plastic surgery.

Hours: Monday-Friday flexible start time between 6am-9am. Must stick to a set schedule.

$26-$28/hr based on Years of Experience

Sick Pay: You will receive one day of Sick Time after working 600 hours and an additional day of Sick Time for every 300 hours after. **Please note that if you're in a city/state with unique PTO requirements, the city/state's policy will override Medix's internal PTO policy.
