Job description

Orthopaedic Physician Assistant

  • Employment Type: Direct Hire/Permanent
  • Title: Physician Assistant (PA)
  • Specialty: Orthopaedics
  • Location: Multiple locations in NJ (Red Bank, Edison, Freehold, Wall, Toms River, Lacey, Manahawkin) will be required to travel as needed
  • Hours: Monday-Friday 8AM-4PM (40 hours); on-call 4 days per month with potential for additional compensation for on-call shifts
  • $90,000 - $140,000 annual salary DOE additional compensation for oncall hours

Company Overview: Orthopaedic Care with a multi-disciplinary team including Board Certified Orthopaedic Surgeons, Joint Replacement Specialists, Pain Management Specialists, and Sports Medicine Specialists.

Job Description: The Physician Assistant supports the doctors' workflow and actively facilitates patients' recovery. They apply medical techniques and principles under physician direction, providing compassionate care and encouragement to a diverse patient population.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assess patients' health and records, addressing chief complaints
  • Issue appropriate treatments or medications
  • Communicate effectively with Physicians and team members to ensure efficient patient care
  • Acquire and review patient histories
  • Monitor patients' progress and maintain accurate treatment records
  • Provide assistance during surgeries
  • Prepare patients for examinations and conduct routine procedures
  • Strictly comply with medical care regulations and safety standards
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members
  • Adhere to all HIPAA regulations

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a Science or related field
  • PA-C Certification
  • Valid NJ PA License
