Job description

Schedule: Flexible options available post-training

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Certified Medical Coder to join our team! This is a fantastic opportunity for those with a certification in CPC, CCS, or CCA to make an impact in the world of medical coding. You will play a vital role in ensuring accurate coding for a multi-specialty practice, including ENT, Plastic Surgery, and Urology cases. Although previous experience in these specialties is a plus, we are open to candidates from various backgrounds who are willing to explore new specialties.

What We Offer:

  • Schedule Flexibility: Work a standard 8-hour shift between 6 AM - 6 PM, Monday through Friday, or choose to work 4 ten-hour shifts. You'll select your final schedule after completing your training.
  • Training: You'll be assigned to shadow an experienced coder during training. Training duration varies based on your learning pace and ability to pick up coding tasks.
  • Remote Work: Enjoy the flexibility of working from home. All required equipment (laptop & monitor) will be provided.
  • Growth Opportunity: Gain hands-on experience in multi-specialty coding while expanding your skill set in specialties like ENT, Plastic Surgery, and Urology.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Code inpatient and outpatient claims for various specialties, including ENT, Plastic Surgery, Urology, and more.
  • Audit and ensure accurate E/M coding and documentation.
  • Collaborate with teams to ensure compliance with coding standards and regulations.

Requirements:

  • Certification: Must hold a valid CPC, CCS, or CCA certification.
  • Coding Experience: Prior experience with physician coding, including both inpatient and outpatient.
  • E/M Coding: Ability to audit and review E/M coding.
  • Specialty Flexibility: Must be willing to explore new specialties beyond your current experience.
  • Reliable Internet: Stable internet connection (internet speed test required).
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.).

Preferred (But Not Required):

  • Surgical coding experience is a bonus.
