Physician Assistant (PA) - Family Medicine / Internal Medicine / Primary Care

  • Location: Trenton, NJ
  • Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
  • Salary: $95,000 - $121,000

About the Role

  • Under the supervision of the Chief Medical Officer, the Physician Assistant will independently manage patient care within their scope of practice.
  • This role includes comprehensive assessments and treatment of acute and chronic health conditions.

Key Responsibilities

Clinical Care

  • Perform medical assessments and develop treatment plans for acute and chronic conditions.
  • Order and evaluate diagnostic studies; prescribe medications in accordance with New Jersey Board of Medical Examiners guidelines.
  • Educate patients on lifestyle changes, medication adherence, and treatment compliance.
  • Identify when specialist or emergency care is required.

Documentation & Compliance

  • Ensure accurate and complete medical charting and documentation for organizational and billing compliance.

Collaboration & Education

  • Serve as a resource to staff; participate in training, education, and community health initiatives.
  • Mentor physician assistant students and participate in departmental call schedules.

Administrative Duties

  • Utilize electronic and manual systems for patient records and reporting.
  • Foster positive patient and community relationships through professional communication and teamwork.

Qualifications

Education

  • Master's Degree in Physician Assistant Studies from an accredited program.

Licensure & Certifications

  • Current and valid New Jersey Physician Assistant license.
  • NCCPA Certification.
  • Current CDS and DEA licenses.

Preferred Skills

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) proficiency.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask effectively in a dynamic environment.
  • Familiarity with healthcare software applications.
