Job description

Overview:

Become an essential member of our integrated healthcare team, responsible for providing patient-centered physical therapy services and movement programs to enhance the quality and affordability of care. Your primary focus will be on optimizing movement and function to improve clinical outcomes, recover from injury, manage pain, and increase patient and provider satisfaction.

Essential responsibilities:

  • Conducting thorough evaluations of patients using clinical observation and standardized testing to identify physical therapy needs
  • Developing individualized, evidence-based care plans to improve overall function and participation in daily life
  • Providing patient-centered education to improve movement and physical activity for prevention and treatment
  • Ensuring proper use of equipment and instruction of patients and caregivers on safe handling to promote optimal function and recovery
  • Supervising and offering direction to PTAs and PT interns
  • Collaborating with interdisciplinary care teams, patients, and/or caregivers to identify and develop patient-specific therapy goals
  • Assisting in the development and presentation of educational materials for patients and providers
  • Participating in quality improvement programs and initiatives driven by clinical needs

Qualifications:

  • DPT Degree or equivalent in Physical Therapy from an accredited physical therapy-based program
  • Bilingual - Spanish & English
  • Active license by the Texas Board of Physical Therapy Examiners, or the ability to obtain one.
  • Current BLS Certification
  • 1+ year of PT experience
