Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and reliable Phlebotomist for a 3-month contract. The ideal candidate will have expertise in performing phlebotomy, specimen collection, and laboratory testing while adhering to industry standards and maintaining patient confidentiality. This role requires a detail-oriented and safety-conscious individual to ensure smooth laboratory operations.

Responsibilities/ Job Duties:

• Perform phlebotomy and collect specimens as ordered.
• Obtain pre-authorizations and complete consent forms for limited coverage tests.
• Maintain accurate documentation, including lab logs and equipment records.
• Ensure adequate inventory of supplies and dispose of hazardous materials properly.
• Send specimens to reference labs when necessary.
• Process lab orders and incoming reports.
• Identify and label patients for blood transfusions.
• Operate and maintain lab equipment.
• Perform waived lab tests and record necessary details.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:

• Prior phlebotomy experience
• High school diploma or GED

Schedule/ Shift: Monday-Friday 7:00am-4:00pm
