Job description

Hiring Phlebotomists
Location: Cumming, GA
Schedule: Monday-Friday 8am- 5pm

Job Overview:
The Phlebotomist I performs daily phlebotomy activities of the Patient Service Center (PSC) or In-office Phlebotomy (IOP) accurately and on time. The person in this position interacts with the client, patients, and other PathGroup personnel in a professional and courteous manner and performs with confidence, both the forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing duties following established practices and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Interaction: Greet customers courteously, explain procedures clearly, and provide professional, compassionate service while addressing inquiries or concerns.
  • Specimen Collection & Handling: Accurately collect, label, process, and package specimens following established protocols to ensure integrity and compliance with safety standards.
  • Data Entry & Documentation: Maintain accurate records by completing requisitions, entering patient and billing information, verifying orders, and adhering to confidentiality and regulatory guidelines.
  • Administrative Support: Perform clerical tasks, manage attendance and expense logs, and assist with monthly statistics, inventory counts, and supply shortages.
  • Safety & Compliance: Adhere to PPE, biohazard disposal, lab safety procedures, and privacy/security policies to protect patient and personal safety while maintaining a clean and compliant workspace.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • Phlebotomist Certification is preferred.
