Job description

  • Responsibilities / Job Duties:
    • Collect patient samples via venipuncture or capillary collection, ensuring accurate identification, labeling, and aseptic technique (65%).
    • Ensure quality phlebotomy service and positive patient experiences, both in person and over the phone (20%).
    • Perform specimen processing, including centrifugation, transportation preparation, and paperwork (5%).
    • Investigate and report patient safety incidents, medical errors, and potential risks, supporting corrective actions as needed (5%).
  • Minimum Education and Experience Qualification Requirements:
    • 1+ year of experience as a Phlebotomist
    • Phlebotomy Certification (NHA, AMT, ASCP, NPA)
    • High school diploma/GED
    • Comfortability traveling to other locations on an as needed basis (Lombard, Lisle, Naperville, Westmont)
  • Schedule / Shift:
    • M-F 8a-4:3p or 8:30a-5p, depending on clinic need
    • E/O Saturday 7a-12p or 8a-12p
