Job description

Are you in the job market and seeking a role in customer service? Medix is hiring Pharmacy Technicians for a well known establishment in Orlando, Florida!

Location: Orlando, Florida

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 40 hour work weeks, scheduled anytime between 8am - 9pm

Pay: $19 per hour

Responsibilities:

  • Phone Communication:
    • Follow scripted guidelines to ensure consistent and accurate information delivery.
    • Manage inbound and outbound calls efficiently, adhering to call center protocols.
  • Refill Eligibility Assistance:
    • Determine and confirm patients' eligibility for prescription refills.
  • Prior Authorization Support:
    • Assist with obtaining and processing prior authorizations as required.
  • Patient Coordination:
    • Connect with patients to gather necessary information before transferring calls to the nurse or pharmacy on duty.
  • Call Management:
    • Handle a call volume of 8-10 calls per hour, depending on call volumes and patient needs.
    • Meet or exceed Service Level Agreements (SLAs) related to call handling and resolution.
  • Collaboration:
    • Work closely with Patient Care Coordinators (PCCs) and other team members to ensure seamless patient service.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or Technical School Diploma
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to follow scripts and protocols accurately.
  • Experience in a call center or customer service role is preferred.
  • Basic understanding of refill processes and prior authorization procedures.
  • Capability to manage high call volumes and multitask effectively.

  • This is a contract to hire role
  • 3 weeks of training from 8am to 5pm, no time off is allowed during this time
