Position: Pharmacy Technician

Location: On-site, Full-time - Crafton, PA

Job Overview:

This role involves managing prescription data entry, handling provider communications, resolving issues, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies. The Pharmacy Technician will work closely with pharmacists, technicians, and other departments to maintain smooth operations and provide excellent service to both patients and providers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Enter electronic, faxed, and verbal prescriptions in accordance with established protocols.
  • Handle communications with providers/physicians, including voicemails, outbound and inbound calls.
  • Address and resolve open issues submitted by various departments, including pharmacists, technicians, and the Incident Coordinator team.
  • Perform all tasks safely and in compliance with corporate policies, as well as State and Federal regulations.
  • Execute other duties as assigned within the scope of the Pharmacy Technician role.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Pharmacy Technician or in a similar role.
  • PTCB or NHA certification required before joining or willingness to become certified within 120 days of employment.
  • Professional phone etiquette and experience in a support or service capacity.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
  • Strong technical aptitude and ability to learn complex software systems quickly.
  • Competency in basic pharmacy calculations.
