Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 an hour (dependent on experience)
  • Assist Pharmacist in refilling patient orders in accordance with state and federal laws
  • Maintains up to date records of new and refill prescriptions in appropriate files and patient charts. Maintains proper filling of all patient information.
  • Works with Nurses, Patients, and Prescribers to refill prescriptions as needed and keep nurses informed on shipments, variance, delivery, assay of potency, insurance, availability and tracking.
  • Coordinates with other company offices for refilling prescriptions as needed
  • Reviews and maintains current information on insurance, reimbursements, physicians, patients, delivery tickets, nursing notes and other patient data.
  • Maintains communication with Billing support specialist.
  • Resolves minor insurance problems
  • Participates in patient safety, quality, and infection programs.
  • Identify and enroll patients in the appropriate patient assistance programs.

    Role Description

    This is a full-time on-site role for a Specialty Pharmacy Technician in Memphis, TN. The Specialty Pharmacy Technician will be responsible for tasks related to prescription fulfillment, pharmacy operations, inventory control, and providing excellent customer service to patients. This role involves working closely with healthcare professionals and patients to ensure smooth and efficient pharmacy operations.

    • Prescription and Pharmacy skills
    • Pharmacy Technicians and Inventory Control knowledge
    • Customer Service expertise
    • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in pharmacy operations
    • Excellent organizational and time management skills
    • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
    • Certification as a Pharmacy Technician is preferred
    • Experience in specialty pharmacy or healthcare setting is a plus
