Pharmacy Technician

We are currently seeking dedicated and motivated Pharmacy Fill Technicians to join a long term care pharmacy. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to gain marketable skills and on-the-job training in a professional pharmacy setting. The role involves working under the direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist to prepare and dispense medications while ensuring a clean, safe, and customer-focused work environment.

• Job Title: Pharmacy Fill Technician
• Location: Fox Chapel (Pittsburgh)

Available Shifts:

1st Shift

• 1 opening
• 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM
• Every other weekend (rotating schedule)

2nd Shift

• 2 openings
• 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM
• Monday through Friday (no consistent weekend rotations)

3rd Shift

• 4 openings
• 8:00 PM - 6:30 AM (schedule flexibility available)
• Typical schedule: 7-on/7-off (Thursday - Wednesday)
• Additional flexibility available based on candidate needs

Responsibilities:

• Fulfill medication orders, including packaging, labeling, and shipping.
• Work under the supervision of a Registered Pharmacist to prepare medications for dispensing.
• Coordinate and stage items for timely delivery to customers.
• Ensure proper storage and security conditions for medications.
• Assist with mixing pharmaceutical preparations per prescriptions and pharmacist instructions.
• Maintain cleanliness, safety, and equipment calibration.
• Participate in special projects and support departmental goals.
• Adhere to all laws, regulations, company policies, and ethical standards.
• Exhibit a friendly, positive, and team-oriented approach in all job duties.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Pharmacy technician experience preferred (retail pharmacy experience is a plus).
• Basic knowledge of drug terminology.
• Strong computer and organizational skills.
• Attention to detail, ability to work independently, and team-oriented mindset.
